April 2018 President’s Report
President’s Report April 2018
Jason Miller—KY Region President
As is common in Kentuckiana, Winter has been holding on. But, let’s hope we can soon put it behind us and enjoy what Spring has to offer, namely some decent driving weather.
The month of April promises to get things rolling. There are now at least three different Cars & Coffee options around town. Due to recent flooding the original Cars & Coffee plans to kick off the season Saturday, April 14th, and continue the second Saturday of each month at Captain’s Quarters. Fante’s Coffee and Cars is Saturday, April 21st. And, Exotic Cars and Coffee will be held the last Saturday of the month at The Paddock Shops Starbucks, with the next date scheduled for April 28th.
Our second club drive of the season will take place April 7th as we head to Lexington to tour West Sixth Brewery. This is a great drive and equally good tour. The third drive of the season promises to be a bit different and a lot sweet, the first annual Endurance Donut Run will take place Saturday, April 28th.
April also brings with it the start of Track Season. I have set a personal goal of getting more track time this year and have already registered for a May event with the New Jersey PCA at Mid-Ohio.
Don’t forget registration opens for the Summer Heat Sunday, April 29th at 9am. The June DE is scheduled June 8 – 10. Instructor Certification will take place Friday, June 8th, spots are limited so don’t delay your registration.
Remember The Pacesetter is now fully web-based and can be found at www.kypca.org. If you have information to share with the club or Porsche items for The Mart e-mail me [email protected] and I will get it posted to the site.
The April meeting will be Monday, April 9th at Fiesta Time Amigos: 135 S English Station Rd Ct. The meeting starts at 7pm, but many arrive as early as 6:30.
Happy Motoring,
Jason
