President’s Report – August 2009
The July meeting was held at Bluegrass MotorSports Dealership and several important issues were
discussed: 2010 elections and the 50th Party.
Elections for 2010 Club year is coming up. An election committee has been established to search for
new officers. The website has the description in our “bylaw section” for each office and their
function. Please take some time to review that information and let one of us know if you are interested
in holding one of these positions. Candidates will be posted in the October PaceSetter, with elections
at the November monthly meeting.
Secondly and most important is the upcoming 50th Anniversary Party. It is very important to state
there is a slight change in the fee for the party. The committee will have to rescind
“Your $20/person will be returned”. There will be a $20 per person non-refundable fee to attend this
event. We feel this charge is small enough for everyone and it will help offset some of the expenses of
this event. We plan on sending out formal invitations several weeks before the event to each member.
Once you return the RSVP envelope with your payment, you will be on the event rooster. You cannot
pay at the door. We are also planning a Car Rally that morning/early afternoon leaving from BlueGrass
Porsche Dealership. This will be a fun and interesting event. “Valuable” prizes will be awarded that
evening.
August is upon us and Ben Bale is working on a drive to the Corvette Museum. Check the website out
for details.
And once again, if you have anything you would like the club to do or if you would want to do an
event/drive, speak up. It’s your club and it is only as much fun as you want it to be……..
