René Rast keeps title fight open with fourth win

Stuttgart. René Rast is the man of the day in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup: On the street circuit in the harbour of Valencia, the German celebrated his fourth win in succession with the 911 GT3 Cup of VELTINS MRS Racing, and with this keeps the fight for the title open. In a gripping duel at the head of the field, he again beat Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands), the Konrad Motorsport pilot, title defender and current points’ leader. Surprisingly, third place went to Lance David Arnold (Germany) competing for SPS Performance who had started from twelfth on the grid.

René Rast starts from pole position in Valencia

Stuttgart. On the street circuit in Valencia, René Rast secured his fourth fastest qualifying time in succession and takes up the ninth round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup on Sunday from pole position. With the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of VELTINS MRS Racing in mid-summer temperatures, the German was six-hundredths of a second faster than last year’s winner Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) who drives for Konrad Motorport as the title defender.

Points’ leader Bleekemolen hopes for return to top of podium

Stuttgart. Jeroen Bleekemolen is a commanding title defender, and the Dutchman is again making good headway towards the championship trophy. Competing for Konrad Motorsport in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, he has so far secured three wins from the eight races contested in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup and has climbed the podium at all races. He is eager to boost his clear lead in the overall classification on Sunday, when the popular brand trophy series runs as support for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia/Spain.

René Rast achieves hat-trick on the Hungaroring

Stuttgart. With his third win in succession, René Rast (Germany) underlined his title ambition in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. Driving the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fielded by VELTINS MRS Racing, he secured a clear light to flag victory at the hot race on the Hungaroring on the outskirts of Budapest ahead of Jan Seyffarth (Germany) and points’ leader Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) after starting from pole position and also turned the fastest race lap.

Third consecutive pole position for René Rast

Stuttgart. René Rast takes up the eighth round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup on the Hungaroring on Sunday from pole position. On the Grand Prix circuit on the outskirts of Budapest, the German secured his third straight top time in qualifying with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fielded by VELTINS MRS Racing. With this, he was 0.200ths of a second faster than Porsche Carrera Cup regular Jan Seyffarth (Germany), who competes as a guest for the tolimit/Seyffarth Motorsport squad.
