Monthly Membership Meeting Minutes

Attendance:  14 members

Steve was out of town so Jeremy kicked off the meeting after dinner.  F1 racing is in season, so if you haven’t checked it out it is some good racing!  HPDE (high performance driver education) coming up in June.  Registration will open up for the event around 6 weeks prior.  The host hotel is the Cambria again this year.  Two Porsche drivers will be up again to take you around the track!  Also there will hopefully be a few special cars at the track – stay tuned!

Volunteers are needed for the DE events.  If you would like to know more about opportunities or want to help out, please contact Jeremy Miller.  Dan Stewart will be our Chief Instructor since Chuck will be at the F1 race that weekend.

Richard says we have approx $22k in the bank and a $19k track bill coming up soon.  Once track registration starts the bank account will go back up.

Steven is looking for activity ideas.  If you have some suggestions, please let him know.  He mentioned maybe an overnight activity and doing a chartity event.   He is looking to do a tech session at Tony’s shop one month for our meeting as well.

• Vintage Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio, Porsche is the featured marque – June 24-26
• Keeneland Concours d’Elegance - July 14, 15, 16, 17 (Concours on Saturday July 16) – stay tuned for club drive to this event – Featured marque is Alfa Romeo
• 7th Annual Porsches 2 Oxford – July 29-31 – over 400 Porsches – one of my favorite events! – stay tuned for club drive to this event
• 2011 Porsche Parade in Savannah Georgia – July 29 – August 7
• KYPCA Fall Fastival HPDE – Sept 16-18
• Louisville Concours d’Elegance – Sept 30 – Oct 2 (Concours on Sunday Oct 2) – Featured marque is Mercedes
