Monthly Membership Meeting Minutes
Date: 11/9/2009
Location: Molly Malone's at Shelbyville Rd and Breckinridge
Officers Present: Steve McCombs, President; Jeremy Miller, VP; Richard Darnell, Treasurer
Board Members Present: Edgar Smiley
Chairs Present: Mark Bos, Website Chair; Ken Daughtery, Membership Chair
Attendance: 21 members
The meeting kicked off around 7:55pm and was brought into order by the President.
Topics Discussed:
Steve McCombs talked about upcoming club events:
Elections – Votes due by November 21 and winners announced at the December Membership Meeting
Dr. Jason Miller stated that he was interested in a Board position.
Steve then talked about October and how it was an exciting month with lots of events that happened.. We had 15 cars for the Huber Winery drive and the Pumpkin Run DE was a great event.
Paul from the Louisville Concours attended the meeting and wanted to thank the Club for their interest and showing at the event. He stated that the event coordinators noticed the strong Porsche participation.
Jeremy Miller discussed the October DE and thanked everyone for a great turnout and event. He noted that we have 2 DE events a year and any questions about the DE events to call him.
Steve then thanked Tom for suggesting the new Molly Malone's for the meeting and setting it up.
He also mentioned that there will be no Christmas party due to the 50th Anniversary Party. He also mentioned that we look at a different venue for the next Christmas party.
Steve announced that there will be a wine tasting event in January. RSVP only and maybe a collection for a donation to a charity. Date / time to be announced.
Richard gave the financial status of the Club: we have money.
Ken Daughtery noted that we have 356 members and matches the early Porsche type.
Steve noted that the Porsche Parade will be in St. Charles IL next year. So this is pretty close – plan to attend. He also mentioned that the National PCA has 56,900 members!
He also stated that he has been in contact with Porsche AG and they are interested in coming to Louisville for an event. We need to figure out a good event for them to come and visit. He mentioned that they congratulated the Club on 50 years and that the Kentucky Region was one of the most involved club with other regions!

The next meeting will be held at Bluegrass Porsche on December 14, 2009 at 7pm. Be sure to attend this one to welcome the newly elected club officers! See you there!
